Do you recognize this face? If you’re a Canyon Meadows resident it’s likely that you do! March is Community Association Awareness Month, when the Federation of Calgary Communities (FCC) reveals twelve 2018 Faces of Community. Director Sharon Fortowsky nominated Gurmit for Faces of Community because he devotes a lot of time to many facets of the organization and is part of a team of hard-working volunteers and staff that support our community organization. It’s nice for the CMCA to be recognized.
Gurmit is a networker! He can be seen at most of the CMCA events meeting and greeting everyone and anyone. Networking with other stakeholders through this initiative helps to develop Canyon Meadows connections. When Canyon Meadows is on the radar of other groups we are able to further enrich our community because our community engagement is seen as active and current.
Click here to meet all 12 faces and read their stories! Everything the FCC posts on social media about the Faces of Community will have the hashtag #FacesofCommunity.
