Jane’s Walk – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Walk

May 5 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

We hope that through this walk you’ll be able to develop a newfound appreciation of philosophy and creating the space for walking and talking together.

In the city of Kyoto, Japan, people walk along a simple path known as the Philosopher’s Walk. A place for reflection and contemplation, its importance has grown through people walking and talking.

We would like to share this experience through a Jane’s Walk, so that you may create this for yourself in your own neighbourhood.

Our questions will be taken from the important life lessons found in the Harry Potter series, and will be fun and informative for the whole family.

Why are they important?
How do we best use them?
How do they contribute to quality of life?
Who gets to access these spaces?

Areas of Interest: Urbanism, Arts & Culture, Diversity & Inclusion

Led By: Gurmit Bhachu, Roman Katsnelson, Jake Hawkes. Three members of the Canyon Meadows Community Association volunteer board of directors who like to kick around big ideas as we walk through the beautiful spaces in our neighbourhood.
